The port city of Southampton is around 24 miles east of Ibsley and is the biggest cruise port in the UK, with all of the main cruise operators docking in during their worldwide cruises.  Go along and see the size of the cruise ships in the flesh, arrange to have lunch on one of them and then if retail therapy is required, a visit to the West Quay shopping centre with over 100 stores is highly recommended.  Why not take in a premiership football match at Southampton stadium or a cricket match at the Ageas Bowl whilst you’re there!

If you live further away, or are needing a stopover before a flight, Southampton International Airport is situated around 24 miles away and accessible in around 25 minutes via car/taxi.
