Detailed below are a few of the most frequently asked questions which may be helpful to you. Please feel free to contact us directly if we can help you any further.

Are children allowed in the cottage gardens?

We welcome children into our gardens if accompanied by an adult as we have two fish ponds and so for their own safety would not wish to risk any accidents. I’m afraid we don’t allow any ball games in the garden in consideration of our other guests however we do have Giant Jenga, Croquet and Boules for a bit of fun on the lawn.

What are the Check in & check out times?

We would be delighted to welcome you any time between 4pm – 7pm.  If you think you may be arriving outside of these hours please let us know in advance so that we can accommodate you and ensure an easy check in.

We ask that you vacate your bedroom on the morning of your departure by 11am please.

Do you allow dogs?

Well behaved dogs are welcome to stay with you in the Coach House for an additional fee of £15 per dog per night to cover our deep clean charges.  We can provide a dog bed if you need one.  We don’t allow dogs in the Garden Suite in consideration of any guests who may have a pet allergy.

Do the bedrooms have a hairdryer?

A GHD hairdryer is provided for your convenience and use in your bedroom.  GHD hair straighteners are available upon request if you happen to forget yours!

Do you have any Ironing facilities?

We can provide an iron and ironing board to your room if required.  Just let us know at check in.

What time do you serve breakfast?

Our breakfast room is open for breakfast between 8.30am – 9.30am Monday to Friday, and 8.30am – 10.00am at weekends.  Alternatively we are very happy to bring you a continental breakfast with hot drinks to your room, any time between 8.30am – 9.30am if you fancy taking things a bit easier and having a lay in.  Just let us know the evening before by completing the in room menu card and putting it in our post box before 9.30pm.

Or if you are planning to race off early then do please let us know and we will ensure you have something to take with you.

Do you serve alcoholic drinks?

We are licensed to sell alcohol to our residents and you will find a bar menu offering local craft beers, wines and spirits in your bedroom.  If you would like any drinks or snacks that are not stocked in your mini in-room fridge just let us know before 8pm and we will deliver it to you in your room.

Is there a local bus service?

The X3 bus stop is situated about a 2 minute walk from Thatched Eaves and provides a regular air conditioned service into Ringwood and Bournemouth to the south and Salisbury to the north.  Please let us know if you require any help with bus times or where to go and what to see.

Do the bedrooms have air-conditioning?

Yes, both the Coach House and Garden Suite are fully air conditioned to keep you cool and refreshed on those hot summer days.

Do you accommodate dietary requirements?

If you have any specific dietary requirements we will do our very best to accommodate you.  Please let us know as much in advance as you can, ideally at the time of making the booking, so that we can endeavour to have everything ready for you for when you arrive.

Do you have a car park?

Yes, we have ample parking spaces on our private driveway to serve the two bedrooms. A second parking space may be available by prior arrangement, alternatively further car parking is also available in front of the public house next door.

Do you have a charging point for my Electric/Hybrid car?

Yes we do. We have a charging point on our drive for our guests to use free of charge.

Do you have WiFi?

Yes free WiFi is available for our guests in their bedrooms and in the breakfast room/tea room but please understand that we are in the countryside and so our WiFi strength is a bit relaxed and not up to the superfast speeds found in busy city and town centres!

What do we do if we need to contact you in an emergency during our stay?

We will provide you with emergency contact details at the time of check in.
